Summer Update: All Groups

Hi Parents,

Please have a quick look below.

Group Status

8-11: Group just ended this Friday and the Feedback Surveys have gone out. If you haven't completed yours, please look at your weekend emails (search under bruce@bgalephd.com) and complete it at your first opportunity. Particularly if you have any interest in your child continuing in another program, the survey contains a question that asks about this. It is the only way to place your child on our "priority list."

11-13: The program begins 7/24 and meets MWF from 8:30-3:30pm until Aug 9.  Good times ahead. Contact me with any questions. We have 16 tweens registered.

14-17: Getting toward the tail-end of the program. Two sessions left. The teens will be heading to City Walk on Tuesday for a day of shopping and hanging out, with lunch at Bubba Gump's. Thursday will be our last day, with a robotics expert coming for an interactive presentation (all the groups loved him when he came during the school year) as part of our final day together.

Ongoing Parent Meetings

Parent Office Meetings

We are continuing to meet every Thursday from 4:30-6pm and Saturday from 9:30-11:30am. No matter where your child is in the attending process (starting, ended, almost ended), you are welcome to come and view videos of their behavior during sessions. In nearly all cases, little differences are apparent from the first session to the present.

Parent Webinars

There is a webinar (online) held every Thursday from 7-8pm. You have all been sent the registration link a few times, however if you still need it just email me. I can't publish it in the blog because it automatically registers you for convenience.

If you have missed previous webinars, just visit the parent portal (you should know the password, but email if you need it) and log in for videos.  The families who have attended these webinars and completed the post-session surveys are reporting the information to be relevant and useful.

Questions?

There are a lot of you, but I want to make certain this is a maximally useful experience. If there is anything you feel you aren't getting out of the program please contact me. Thanks for reading this!

Summer Update: All Groups

Hi Parents,

Overview - Current Status

Things are moving along nicely. The 8-11 Group is 1/2 way over - hard to believe and the 14-17 Group finishes its first week tomorrow. There is a second orientation for the 11-13 Group this coming Saturday at my office from 9:30-11:30am. You will be receiving an invitation for it tomorrow (Thursday). Any other LUNCH Groups Family is welcome to attend if you feel you need a refresher. Finally, there is an online version of the Orientation. You can access it by clicking here (you will need to log in to access).

Parent Meetings

I have done a complete calendar for all group meetings and parent meetings on the www.lunchgroups.com website. Just visit "Events." (You can watch a 3 min tutorial by clicking here).

Invite to Weekly Webinars

You have all been sent an invite for GoToWebinar. This is the tool that I use for giving webinars. You can ask questions over the phone or your computer (using the mic or a headset) or write them in. It will be recorded in case you miss it.

Morning Updates for Group

For each group program, parents are receiving an update of the planned day's events 15 minutes after group begins. Remember, drop off and pick up are always at Gelsons.

That's it for the moment. Let me know if I forgot anything.

Getting Ready for Summer 2017

Introduction

Flyer for Summer 2017 Programs
Memorial Day weekend, which was our official time for transitioning between our School Year and Summer programs, has passed and we're in the final stages of preparing for Summer. This is our first blog post, providing you with current information. It will run until August 2017 and will serve as a the best single spot to remain abreast of current and upcoming developments related to the LUNCH Groups® Summer Program.

What's Going On?

As you know, we will be running three groups (click on the flyer to the right for details). They are as follows:
Summer 2017 Schedule for all Groups

Parent Meetings

A huge portion of our program involves, not your kids, but you and your participation. Later this month, we'll be holding Parent Orientation meetings. Also, there will be a weekly parent webinar and parent drop-in meetings as well, beginning the week of July 5th. You'll learn more about this at the orientation meetings. For those of you who are continuing or returning to our program, there will be a special online orientation meeting designed to inform you about recent changes to the program. If it has been more than a year since your child attended, we advise that you attend one of the "live" orientations.

When your survey arrives,  please complete it at your earliest opportunity, it will only take a couple of minutes. That way, we can finalize the dates for the parent portion of group. Each group will have a designated day that is prioritized for their group, so your responses will be most helpful.

Materials Fee, Treatment Agreement, & Registration

Every child who attends the program must be registered so we know emergency information, have updated information on medical issues, or medical dietary restrictions. Also, we must have a signed Treatment Agreement and the Materials Fee of $350 must be paid. The fee covers snacks, lunches, transportation costs, admission to events, and raffle prizes.

Below is the link to the treatment agreement. Please review it and let me know if you have any questions regarding its contents. It will also be contained in your Registration form information for review.

Click here to Review the Treatment Agreement

Questions?

You are welcome to contact me anytime with questions. Email tends to work best and will usually get you the quickest reply. If you haven't already had a look, you may find the FAQs on the website answers many of your questions. Click here to view.

Thanks for reading through this. I look forward to seeing you again soon.
